Assassin's Creed III Limited Edition, Digital Deluxe Edition, and More

In addition to the standard versions (detailed below), Ubisoft offers a number of "Collector" editions for its upcoming Assassin's Creed III, varying by region, platform, and even by retailer.

Standard Editions

  • PS3 / XBOX360, North America: October 30, 2012 ($59.99)
  • PS3 / XBOX360, Worldwide: October 31, 2012 (€59.99)
  • PC, Worldwide: November 23, 2012 ($49.99 / €49.99)

Limited Edition - North / South America - PS3 / XBOX360

Ubisoft announced Assassin's Creed III "Limited Edition" yesterday. It will be exclusive to America (North / South), and restricted to console versions of the game (PS3 and XBOX360).

Assassin’s Creed III Limited Edition will retail for $119.99 and contains essential items for gamers to ignite the American Revolution, including:

  • Assassin’s Creed III video game.
  • Stunning 9.44″ Assassin statue featuring Connor poised to strike with tomahawk and hidden blade.
  • Embroidered 28″x48″ Assassin’s Creed-inspired colonial flag.
  • 3″x3.25″ sturdy metal belt buckle to proudly proclaim your allegiance to the Assassins.
Assassin’s Creed III Limited Edition is available for pre-order today exclusively for North America and Latin America customers at GameStop, Amazon.com, Best Buy, Target and Wal-Mart.

Digital Deluxe Edition - North / South America - PC

PC users - American PC users, at least - will be able to purchase the Digital Deluxe Edition, instead. This download version, priced at $64.99, includes:

  • Three single-player missions: Lost Mayan Ruins, Ghost of War, and A Dangerous Secret.
  • Two single-player characters: Captain of the Aquila and Colonial Assassin.
  • Two multiplayer characters: Redcoat and Sharpshooter.

Apparently, it includes all retailer-specific missions and characters. Weapons are not mentioned, though (the "Sawtooth Sword" from GameStop, "Pontiac's War Club" from BestBuy, the "Boarding Axe" from Amazon.com and the "Flintlock Musket" from Wallmart).
The Sharpshooter (multiplayer character) doesn't seem to be available from retailers. At least, it isn't part of a retailer-exclusive version, yet.
