BioWare has officially announced that there will be a DLC that expands upon the ending of Mass Effect 3, an ending that left many fans disappointed. The Extended Cut DLC will feature new ending cinematics and additional epilogue content. The DLC will be released for all platforms this summer, free of charge, as long as you download it before April of 2014.
Despite universal acclaim for Mass Effect 3, the ending was seen as a major letdown by fans and reviewers alike, with many going as far as to say it has ruined the entire series. This DLC is seen by BioWare as a compromise, as it supposedly fixes the ending that disappointed many fans, yet keeps in line with the developer's original vision of the end of the series.
Did you think this a good move by BioWare? Will it finally end the controversy created by the ending of the game?
Well, yes. That's because the very foundation upon which each of the endings is built is fundamentally flawed in that it introduces a major character and several plot points in the last 10 minutes of the game, whilst also raising hundreds of questions and then proceeding to show you little of import with regard to the consequences of what just happened.

BioWare will expanding on the ending to Mass Effect 3 by creating additional cinematics and epilogue scenes to the existing ending sequences.". So basically the ending will still be horrible, but additional cinematics and stuff will be added so that you actually know what the bloody hell happened to everything. LoL.
