Top Eleven first showed up on Facebook in 2010. Ever since then, the Serbian-based studio Nordeus released several versions of the game. They had two things in common – Jose Mourinho was the face of the game and it as the best social media football manager available. Those remain intact for Top Eleven 2018, but let’s see what has changed and what the new players can expect.
Create Your Own Club
Forget about real-life players and teams. This is all about making your own club and taking it to glory. In the beginning, you choose the desired jersey and logo, as well as the name of the organization. The selection includes kits of real teams, such as the ones from English Premier League, La Liga, and even MLS. Once you are satisfied with your choice, you are taken to the squad screen. Jose is kind enough to offer his advice on the team. The crucial thing to keep in mind is that starts are a quality indicator. They will show you how good your players are.
The next step in the tutorial is arranging a friendly. That will enable you to see how a match unravels and perhaps even enjoy your first victory!
To the Pitch, Jose!
Top Eleven 2018 Soccer Manager will schedule you a test match with a random opponent. Once the game starts, you will see the action on a 2D screen which reminds of Football Manager. Keep in mind that you can’t pause the match and the halftime break only takes a couple of seconds. However, you can adjust formation and tactics while the game is in progress.
Although you need to reach quickly, this gives you an excellent amount of control over your players’ actions and behavior. For example, if you are down, you can switch to attacking mentality and try to come out with a draw. On the other hand, if you are in the lead, focusing on defense with counter attacks as an option might be the best way to go.
Reap the Rewards
Once the match is done, Top Eleven 2018 Soccer Manager will reward you. Aside from praise from the fans, you will receive a morale booster if you win. You also get one for watching the match, as well as an extra treatment pack if you ended the game without a yellow or red card. However, if you are a real chairman, you will appreciate money the most. Ticket and competition income will be the primary source of profit, but you will also earn from selling merchandise once you upgrade the stadium.
That leads us to what there is to do off the pitch. Your primary focus should be on training. You can choose between three types of drills – attack, defense, and physical and mental. Each of the exercises can be upgraded, and that improvement comes with a backstory. For example, you only improved the creativity drill because you visited the Futsal World Cup and got some ideas there.
In the beginning, you can select up to three drills per training. It’s essential to keep track of your players’ condition as you want them to be fresh for the upcoming games.
Upgrade Your Team…and Stadium
If you are not satisfied with your players, why not buy new ones? You do that by visiting the transfer list and bidding on the desired footballer. Those that are placed on the list are actually open for auction. Once the time expires, the highest bidder wins. The next menu that you want to visit is your finances. Here you can sign a sponsorship deal that will bring you extra tokens (premium in-game currency).
Visiting the Ground section will allow you to develop various parts in or around your stadium. Aside from upgrading the stands to accommodate more spectators, you can also improve scoreboard, pitch, and lights. Off the arena, you can enhance utilities, parking, medical, youth, and training facilities. In short, there is a lot to keep you busy when you are not playing the matches.
Can You Win the Champions League?
Jose Mourinho did it several times, so why wouldn’t you? Of course, it will take time. To qualify for the CL, you will first need to win one of the first four places in your league. There are a total of sixteen teams in every league competition, and the good news is that you can get promoted if you are in the upper half. The only question remaining is – can you take your club to glory in Top Eleven 2018 Soccer Manager?
